Sephora Changes For Canadian Customers Free Shipping With $50 Order, Free Delivery + Returns & My Thoughts
More changes for Sephora Canada shoppers! Since they moved their warehouse to Canada that we announced earlier you may have noticed some changes to your online orders.

As of today, Free shipping applies to orders over $50 (it was previously $75), Free delivery (no duties on orders, when orders were shipped from the US there were nominal duty fees added at checkout) and Free Returns with proof of purchase (they have always offered free returns in-store).

Want to know what I think about the changes to a Canadian warehouse? It has been negative from what I have experienced personally and hereere is why:
• I shop online at Sephora regularly and I have found that shipping now takes longer (not what they would have you think) as orders sometimes take 5 days to process for shipping.
• Probably the biggest con and most frustrating is that promotions are now US and Canadian only, there was a Dior Maximizer deluxe sample recently that was shown online, but when I added the promo code it was unavailable, when contacting Customer service about it they said they had no further information about it and to keep checking back their beauty deals page.
• Returns now have to be made within 30 days (this was much longer before).
• I find that stock online now greatly fluctuates, products go in and out of stock so quickly, I have had a couple of items in my wishlist for weeks and they are always out of stock, this was never a concern before.
• Many brands that were previously available online are no longer (these items were previously online-exclusive/not available in-store before so it was very helpful to be able to order them online, now we have no access to them).

Personally I don't care where their warehouse is, I expect a similar experience as US customers get and at least equal experience to what I had before. And don't even get me started on the Epic Rewards fiasco that happened recently, did anyone in Canada actually redeem for one?

  1. I feel ya, Canadians are getting the shaft since, so many brands that were available are not anymore, what a joke.

  2. I agree completely. Before the warehouse moved to Canada shipping took 1-2 days, my last shipment took 4 days. Also, even some of their own brand products are not available in Canada anymore, such as their Age Defy moisturizer

  3. You're right a lot of the 100 point/500 point perks are not even available for Canada orders even though I see sephora posts about them. They started a new Canadian Sephora page, so I am expecting more exclusions to come. Sucks
