Fake TOMS Shoes Arrive from Dealticker E-Accessories

Tuesday, June 19, 2012
Remember that TOMS deal that Dealticker was running? I finally got my order from the April deal in the mail. I was expecting fakes (but hoped they wouldn't be) and I thought I would make this post to show you all what I received and the frustration that continues. Upon first glance, the shoes look similar, you will notice the grey ones are my own TOMS (purchased from Urban Outfitters in Toronto) which are authentic, vs the blue ones from Dealticker on the bottom of the picture.

First thing I noticed was the insole on the Dealticker TOMS were definitely different than the authentic insoles. Mine are a nice, thick leather whereas the Dealticker ones are a plain cloth material and they come right now, as shown in the picture above, you can pull them right out, whereas mine are securely in (even after 4 months of daily wear).

Next, I ordered a Women's 9 and instead received a Men's 10. These shoes are too large on me and I cannot wear them. I have contacted E-Accessories (the shop which shipped these shoes through Dealticker) and they agreed to send me the correct shoes, but I would have to pay to ship them back (they would not re-imburse me and that it's the customer's responsibility). So basically I have to pay money to have the correct size shoes sent to me even though it was their mistake sending me the wrong size, unbelievable.

The slogan on the inside of the Dealticker TOMS has a spelling mistake. In the image above you will notice it says "With every pair you ourchase TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need One by One". If you purchased these in a store, they would never ever put these out with a spelling mistake! These are defective shoes.

Shame on Dealticker and E-Accessories for selling these! It's wrong on so many levels. What TOMS (the brand) stands for is their One for One promotion, whereby with every shoe purchased they send one to Africa. They make comfortable shoes and do a great thing for society. Do you think Dealticker/E-Accessories are donating each one purchased? Definitely not, as a TOMS rep contacted me and told me that E-Accessories is NOT an authorized re-seller.

These companies fooled many people into buying these, including myself. They ran this deal in April and then again recently. As far as I know no one had received the first shipment yet at that point, so it was a sly move to fool more people before they started complaining.

If you bought these shoes and got real ones or fake ones, the right or wrong size, please leave me a comment below!

Please note: If you haven't received your shoes yet, definitely email Dealticker and get a refund, they seem much more accommodating to those who have not been shipped the shoes yet. Avoid the hassle after, cancel today.

  1. Similar situation here. Ordered. Waited and waited longer still. Finally arrived and the pair was two sizes smaller than ordered. No response apart from an automated response from Dealticker. Putting it down under the loss column and taking it as a lesson learned.

    1. Have you contacted e-accessories? They will probably tell you the same that they told me, to ship them back yourself and then maybe you'll get a refund if you want around for months and months. Sorry this happened to you too.

    2. Yes, I too was fooled and bought these shoes, 8wks to arrive, and wrong size, and fakes even though they said they were real Tom's shoes in the dealticker deal. Dealticker is not taking any responsiblity or e-accessories and it turns out the address they post is not real. I think we should complain to better business bureau for both "companies". I have taken my name off all coupon sites, other than groupon the only one who stands behind what they sell. I will not be ripped off again!

    4. I ordered them from Dealticker June 4th and still haven't received them. Dealticker contacted e-Accessorie on my behalf asking for a refund and e-Accessorie said it was too late as they "may" have been shipped by now. I contacted Visa and disputed the charges and they are crediting me back what I paid.

    5. What did you tell Visa. I want to dispute my purchase too? I also ordered from Dealticker June 4th and have yet to receive my order.

    6. Wow. I ordered same day. Still waiting. I've e-mailed them numerous times but they don't e-mail me back.

    7. I ordered the same day, June 4. Its now September and all they said was "We started shipping items 2 weeks ago and have since been shipping them in groups. Many customers have already received their orders and have been completely satisfied. You will be receiving your order shortly. When the item is shipped, you will receive a tracking number". Regards, E-Accessories
      ***No apology or whatsoever!

BBB should go into this type of business.

    8. Hello ....,

I understand how frustrating the current situation is unfortunately, these are circumstances we had no control over.

The merchant did let us know that they had some issues filling the order but have assured that at this time the orders have been processed and will be shipped shortly. Once they are shipped they will be providing us with tracking numbers that we will then distribute to all customers.

      All the best

***This is the email that I got after purchasing TOMS!!! It will be a bounce back and forth from Dealticker to E-accessories if they answer my email! So frustrating...my hard earned money :(

It was my first purchase with an other dealer! Never again ! I juste hope people will read on blogs how Dealticker & E-accessories are dishonest before buying things ! Thank you for your blog !!

    10. I too ordered in June and am still waiting. I was given a tracking number that doesn't work when I called yesterday and asked for my money back I was told no because the shoes were in shipping. I told her the tracking number didn't work and she said it will soon. Frustrating is an understatement. She told me to refuse the delivery when it comes if I want my money back and take it up with e-accessories. 1st purchaes with deal ticker and last!!!!The shoes will be out of style before I see them!

    11. I ordered early June and also have not received. I emailed deal ticker and did not even receive a response from them... automated or not. I have just now completed an online transaction dispute with my bank back in australia and hopefully they see the scam and give me my money back. Someone got wealthy from the scam but they aren't keeping my money!

    12. I ordered June 4 and haven't received them. I don't even want them anymore. I've sent angry emails to e-accessories complaining since the end of July and they've assured me I will be loving my new shoes soon. Correction, I will be loving my refund from visa soon. I called visa to dispute the charge. I am usually very careful with online purchases but googled it first and found no complaints. Googled it now, and complaints are everywhere. Hope it works out for everyone.

    13. I'm in the exact same boat as all of you. I ordered on June 4 and continue to get emails about how i will love the shoes when I receive them. I will be disputing with Visa also.

  2. I saw the Dealticker promo and it seemed too complicated to order anyways. Many of their deals for jewelry are a real scam as well. Anything that is advertised as "crystal" or "swarovski" is sent from China. It's a shame.

  3. I am at a loss for words...wow.
I mean really? It is one thing to hunt down fakes and want them (which I cannot fathom in this situation) it is another to fool people and misrepresent a charitable company's product.

And to pay to return their mistake. Oh my ... I hope you gave them hell.

    1. I have the same problem....should have cancelled the order but I just read your post n got my pairs of fake TOMS shoes from Dealticker/ E-Accessories. Dealticker will never get my business from now on.

    1. yes, the sales on both offers were huge, each one had over 5000 buys, so at least 10,000 sales, at $30 a piece, that's a lot of products for counterfeit shoes! Why would they issue refunds?

  5. Just received mine today, and I noticed all the same thing you did. I am so disappointed in Dealticker!

  6. Why wouldn't e-accessories just send you the right size though? that's really poor customer service, nevermind that they are totally fake. I've been reading about e-accessories here and there, surprised they haven't gone under yet with all the complaining.

  9. Unbelievable! It's unfortunate that deal sites like Dealticker make us authentic deal sites look bad!

    ReplyDelete
  10. That's awful. I'm always so leery about deal websites with products. What's especially bad is that they are knocking off a charitable item that really goes to do good. And then not giving exchanges for the right size when it was THEIR fault? You've got to be kidding me!

  11. So awful! Thanks for the post. I just bought some in the most recent deal but read after that they may be fake. I will be investigating ways to stop payment to this company. Any ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  12. I think that if they are selling counterfeit and advertising them as authentic you may have a case against them with the RCMP who I believe are trying to crack down on this kind of stuff. Also, put them back in their packaging and do a "return to sender" so you won't have to pay and demand your money back. I would suggest that people issue complaints with the Better Business Bureau for both of these companies, especially Dealticker. I find that this usually gets a company to respond right away. Maybe everyone should consider a class-action suit against them?

      "Hi Justine,

Thank you for sharing your experience with e-Accessories.

Unfortunately, our hands are tied in this matter, as e-Accessories is the company selling the shoes and they requested that customers ship the shoes back for refunds. They've also asked that any questions or concerns about this should be sent to info@e-Accessories.com.

Thanks and have a great day.

  16. Called Deal Ticker to enquire. I was told that shoes will be shipping next week and that if they have not shipped yet, I can call for a full refund. As well, I was told that once they have shipped, I am responsible for any shipping costs associated with a product return (as it is the mechant, E-Accessories that sets that policy).

My suggestion...call your credit card and issue a charge back. We were misled into believing that we were purchasing authentic TOMS. This is false advertizing and we should not have to pay to return a product that we did not order.

Also, check out the Deal Ticker Twitter account: http://twitter.com/#!/@dealtickerTO
They are stating that the TOMS are real. Come on, Deal Ticker...admit that they are fake.

  19. And another response from Dealticker:

    "Hello Justine,

    Thank you for your email.
The merchant actually advised us that these were authentic shoes, so unfortunately, until customers actually began receiving them we were unaware.
As stated in the previous email, the merchant has requested that the order be sent back to the return address provided on the package. When they have received this pair, they will authorize your refund.

If you have any questions about this process please email info@e-accessories.ca. Please inquire about their drop box location to avoid shipping charges. Please make sure to quote your order number when you are speaking with e-Accessories.

  20. I ordered 2 pairs of Ray Ban Aviators from Dealticker (company was "Great Buy Online") and of course they ended up being obvious fakes. I contacted Dealticker they are apparently issuing a full refund (including shipping). It's scheduled to be processed next week, so we'll see what happens...

In your case I would definitely contact your credit card company as someone mentioned above!

At any rate, that is the last time I will ever trust one of those deal sites.

  21. Hi,

Deal Ticker owns e-Accessories and apple depot , that is why you will see a deal running all the time with them, also the best prices are featured on their site opposed to other sites.

They do not sell a lot of volume on their deals so they have to make up for it by selling fake goods where they are not splitting the revenue share with another merchant.

    Buyer Beware

    Thanks

As far as the shoes, I also placed the order in April and have not seen anything yet...time to speak with Visa I guess as no one seems to be having any luck with e-accessories OR dealticker.

I also had ordered the second wave of Toms before I knew they weren't legit, and I have e-mailed Dealticker to get a refund.

  28. wow this is so horrible - when I had a bad experience with a deal on Teambuy, those guys actually took upon them to personally ship the items the merchant never sent

  29. OMG i'm in such shock right now. I never ever order anything online because of situations like this.....i really got fooled...I'm so angry. 30. Yep! Same issue here. Ordered women's 9, received Men's 10. Very poor counterfeits as well. In addition to the liner and the misprint, the quality of the sole is awful, and the "linen" feels plastic coated. Contacted Dealticker, and they said they would send me back the correct size once I paid to ship them back myself (!). When I complained about the fact that the product was not authentic, and asked for a refund, they told me no problem, once you pay to ship them back. After complaining about having to pay for shipping for a fraudulent product, I received, and have continued to receive absolutely no response at all. What a joke.

  31. Got these today. Oh, two right feet? Foam insole, not leather, wrong size? Yeah, lovely. Waited 2 months for these to come in. E accessories doesn't answer their phone number so I had called dealticker to get a refund. They said they won't refund me, e accessories had to. Uh no where on the fine print does it mention having to resend FAKE merchandise back to these idiots. The raybans I bought were fake also. What annoys me is that they attach the tag "one for one" that is HORRIBLE. I'm definitely doing a chargeback and mentioned it twice, neither party cared. Called Toms, told them they sold 10,000 orders and provided them with the shipping address and number. Screw these people the way they screwed us!

  32. To pay $12 to ship back or not? I just called my credit card company and they were more than happy to investigate. 33. Why do you guys still buy from Dealticker? Just google them and you can see the massive complaints and scam reports put out on them. I'm surprised that they are still in business but I guess because people like you guys that rush to buy without even using a simple function as googling would have discovered the truth.

Their rayban and what they passed off as Dr. Dre Beats headphones were fake as well.

  36. I am very glad to have read all this information as I ordered these shoes about 5 weeks ago, and thought I'd do a little online sleuthing. I read this thread about 15 minutes ago, and promptly went to the Dealticker website and found the "refunds" e-mail address there, and sent the following e-mail:

It has come to my attention that this product being sent out is a counterfeit product, and that people are experiencing many issues being sent incorrect sizes, and must pay for shipping in order to get the correct sizes.

I have not yet received this item, and would like to cancel my order for a full refund. It is completely unacceptable to be representing a company such as TOMS shoes, which does good charitable work, with poor-quality counterfeit products.

I paid for this voucher via Paypal, Paypal ID is XXXXX, I am requesting a full refund for this voucher/product.

Less than 5 minutes later, I received this reply from Dealticker:

    Thank you for your email.
I regret that you are unsatisfied with your order.

I have checked with the merchant and they are willing to process a refund for you as a customer service gesture.
We'll be refunding the amount onto your credit card.
We will do our absolute best to process your refund in a prompt and efficient manner.

Your refund is scheduled to be processed by June 28th,2012. Please allow 5-10 business days for this to show up on your credit card statement.
I hope you find this helpful and we hope your future buying experiences with DealTicker will always be positive. I would like to thank you for buying with us. We sincerely appreciate your business.

  39. I totally got the same one!!!!! I ordered size 6.5 and of course they sent a size 7 (insole) and inside the little tag underneath the insoles says 7.5. I have emailed dealticker & e-accessories with all the info (comparing the one I got from them & my authentic ones) including PICTURES!....somehow, they seem to "ignore" my emails.

I've sent a couple already to e-accessories...nothing! Dealticker (emailed customer service & refunds)....nothing either. It's sooooo frustrating. I've posted the pics on facebook (tagging TOMS & Dealticker) so everyone can see what kind of company they are. What's so weird was that dealticker took out the deal itself from their past deals section. I wanted to get a copy of the discussion forum where dealticker states that these were authentic Toms. No luck...they knew everyone was going to start complaining.

I paid mine through VISA, I didn't know you were able to pay via paypal? I would of done that if I knew. Since none of these companies would reply to any of my emails...what shall I do next? Contact Visa?

My sister in-law purchased the same...and she just emailed them & got a reply. WTH!?? (we have to pay to ship them back to e-accessories and then get reimbursed after) who's to say that they would even refund it?

This has been one frustrating purchase....

    ReplyDelete
  40. I re-checked my order and I actually didn't pay through Paypal, I paid via credit card, which is probably why they offered to refund in that manner. I don't get it if I got an immediate reply saying they'd refund my money, why other people would not get the same treatment! And I literally got e-mailed back within *minutes* of having mailed them. Strange and inconsistent customer service.

Yes, contact Visa, and explain you received not only the wrong size but a counterfeit product and tried to contact the companies involved to no avail. Visa protects purchases and will likely refund you and issue a chargeback to the company -- also may shut down doing business with them if they find out what kind of track record they have.

I won't be using Dealticker ever again. I had never used them before and my daughter was wanting TOMS and I thought it was a good deal. I have used Groupon and Living Social before and not ever had a problem, so I thought this would be legit.

    ReplyDelete
  41. So is everyone getting wrong sizes? You'd think that if they were selling counterfeits that they'd at least try and make them look presentable. Also, if you guys are interested, Aritzia is selling Toms for 20% off this week, which would make the classics $44 (reg. $55. Plus tax it's around $50, no more. I got a classic navy pair that I am very happy with, I didn't have to worry about authenticity, and I know for sure that they will abide by the One for One program, for only $9 more. To me, that's way more worth it.

They said they would be "happy to facilitate an exchange" to just send them back and theyll send me the right size. 49. From Dealticker

We'll be more than happy to facilitate an exchange for a different size. Just send the item back to us, and indicate in your return if the shoes you received are too big or too small. We'll be happy to send your exchange, free of charge.

Just send the shoes back to:

    e-Accessories
    8000 Bathurst St., Unit 1
    Suite 30005
    Vaughan, ON L4J 0C6

Please make sure to clearly mark your name, shipping address, reason for the return, and the correct size. You can either leave a note in the package with this information or mark it on the package. Once we receive your package and verify the error we will work on shipping you a new pair quickly. You won't have to wait long.

  51. Well, the exact same thing happened to me - waited over 2 months, and when they finally were delivered, they were the wrong size. They were not packaged like any other Tom's I've ever bought (I have 4 other pairs) & I too suspect that they are fakes. So not only are they screwing their customers, they are screwing a charitable organization which actually does good in this world, & shows accountability not only to it's customers, but to those in need! Talk about being unethical - I wonder if anyone has brought it to the attention of Tom's - they must have a legal team that could deal with this.
I also phoned dealticker, and they are of no help whatsoever - do they not check these companies out before they promote them on their website? It makes me ill to have to shell out more cash to send these back, and wonder if they will actually credit my credit card. I did put in a claim with the Better Business Bureau, and would encourage others to do the same.

    1. @G McGraw - A TOMS rep contacted me the first time this Dealticker TOMS deal ran on their site, I blogged it and they asked me to take it down because the seller was unauthorized, so they definitely knew about it and were trying to get people not to post it. I promptly took that post down and when Dealticker ran this scam again I posted a buyer beware for people not to be fooled by this.

u just simply told them, what happened.. and try to ask them for investigate.
If possible go to vaughan,,, in a group with your pairs and just ask for management. Even it is a warehouse(for sure), they will call its owner, and no doubt, Everyone will get refund... +ask for free gas too...(lol)

I contacted the customer service by email and they stated I need to ship them back at my own cost and they will exchange it for me. This is absolutely unacceptable. Is there any way to report them and deal with company that scam customers like this?

We should definitely all file a complaint on BBB.

  59. I am willing to file a complaint if you all are! I just recieved my "TOMS" today and I had ordered a 7 and recieved a size 8. What the hell is wrong with these crooks? I am beyond furious! I am NOT paying another cent on sending these back. I compared them to my mother's TOMS shoes I just bought her for her birthday and you can totally see the difference. Spelling errors, the box is smaller, you dont get the cute blue and white bag, etc. We have to do something about it...these crooks made so much money off of this - I bet it cost $5 to make each shoe since they are most likely coming from China.

  64. I just got mine like all of you (2 months late).

DealTicker told me I had to send mine back to e-accessories for a refund but pay for shipping. That's painful. They claim they got samples and that they were real and when all the fakes went out they were surprised. And that's where it ends with them.

I sent them an email and told them that I was surprised they wouldn't stand up with integrity and help their scammed customers get refunds from the bad supplier in order to retain their relationships with their customers and fire e-accessories as a supplier. Anyway I sent their customer service manager (yeah right) an email too. I don't expect to hear anything back.

But what I did that I think was the most effective was called my CC company and filed for a chargeback. I now have a credit on my statement in the amount of the shoes. If that happens enough times it will show DealTicker that this sort of behavior toward unsuspecting customers is not acceptable. I am donating my FAKE TOMS to Goodwill this weekend.

Don't chalk this up to a 'lesson learned'. This is your money and you were duped. Go and get it back and don't pay for shipping to e-accessories.

We are sorry that you have received a wrong size with your TOMS Shoe order.

As per e-Accessories returns and refunds policy you will need to return your order back to e-Accessories in order to arrange an exchange. E-Accessories has let us know that they will not be covering the shipping charges for the return of this order. Once e-Accessories has received the item they will dispatch the exchange order. Their mailing address is:

    E-Accessories

Remember to attach a note to the package that states your order number and that you are requesting an exchange. Also remember to put your correct size in the note.

If you have any further questions about this process or the policy that we must follow to facilitate this exchange , you can contact e-Accessories at

We purchase from a distributor of TOMS shoes, and have to date, found their products to be authentic and reliable. We are not, however, authorized retailers of the brand, and therefore do not provide the official warranty or use the branded packaging. We also do not have the ability to participate in the 'One for One' program, so we do not provide the associated print collateral. Although we cannot provide the warranty, we do offer our own 10 business day return policy, so if you're not happy with the item, you can return it to us for exchange or refund.

As our policy states, we are not responsible for shipping products back to our RMA centre, but we ship your replacement items out to you free of charge.

We recommend ground mail through Canada Post as an inexpensive option for shipping your return.

  80. I bought TWO pairs of these shoes, having recently fallen in love with Toms, on June 1. After waiting until July 3, and no shoes (over 4 weeks), I emailed them. Got an answer saying, wait 4-6 weeks.

Then I Googled the deal, and found this site. Oh, my heart just sank. I emailed Deal Ticker this:

It has come to my attention that you are shipping fraudulent Toms shoes, and as such, I would like a full refund.

As I still haven’t received the order yet, I expect that the full price of my order, including shipping, will be refunded.

You should not be dealing with any merchants that sell fake products, or if you do, you should advertise them as such, and not soil a good name like Toms, which sells quality products and gives charitable donations.

Please assist me with this refund. Thank you.

I sent the email a bunch of times, and I sent it to the following email addresses:

    customercare.dt1@gmail.com
    dbrown@dealticker.com
    cmurray@dealticker.com
    refunds@dealticker.com

I finally got a response today:

    Hi Lindsay,
I apologize for the delay in response. I see that a colleague reversed your order on July 6 at 10:21am. You should have received notice of this reversal at that time. Please note, however, that the CC company will take approximately 5-10 business days to actually approve and apply the changes to your statement.

Thank you and have the best day,

    1. I'd be very careful buying TOMS off ebay because you might get the same result, fake knockoff shoes. The only way that you know you'll get authentic shoes and that they will abide by the One for One promotion is to buy from TOMS website directly or shopping at a shoe store that is authorized to sell them.

      Delete
  81. I think buying on ebay is fine as long as you are willing to search for a legitimate seller. There are some sellers that are top-rated, who have received positive reviews for their products. However, it is always best to ensure authenticity by buying from the TOMS website or an authorized store.

  86. @Dawn Brown: Are you for real? seriously?
Your company along with e-accessories LIED and CHEATED thousands of customers and very well KNOWINGLY posted FAKE merchandise as real and kept assuring everyone that it was genuine. One LIE after another and now you talk about return policy? Based on your deceiving and unethical business practices, your return policy is no more valid. Your company and E-Accessories sent WRONG product PURPOSELY to the customers, why should we pay for your fraudulent practice?

For everyone else, regardless of whether you have received the pair or not, Please do not delay anymore and request your refund ASAP. Blow up their customer service lines and give them hell. If Deal Ticker or E-Accessories refuse you refund, call your credit card company and tell them u did not authorize that payment and they scammed you. If enough credit card companies pulled the money back, this scam will be dead. Also if you have received the shoes, DO NOT pay to send them back, instead file a complaint with RCMP and give them that pair, original packing and your transaction records and deal description stating the merchandise to be real, as a PROOF. They are right now cracking down on fake merchandise sellers and once they have the fake items along with your complaint, they will have enough reason to do something about it. Remember, this is no longer a misunderstanding or a minor mistake. They sold upwards of 10K pieces with $30 a pop. This is a money fraud of more than $300,000 and can be charged under criminal code. Let DealTicker explain their sham return policy to RCMP and see how they fair with the law.

Also everyone, please file a report to BBB.

  106. I ordered on June 1st, was getting impatient about not receiving my shoes so went on to google and see if others were having the same problem, then I see this. This led me to suspect the Ice-watches that I also purchased on dealticker were fakes. So I contacted ice-watch and they confirmed my suspicions that the deal was for fakes ice-watches.

I called dealticker right away and Evan issued me a full refund for the TOMS shoes. I am still waiting for a response about the watches cause he said he had to contact hotdeallio about refunds.

RIDICULOUS! Before I made the purchase, I specifically asked if the watches were authentic and if hotdeallio is an authorized seller and they told me the watches were authentic and hotdeallio is an authorized seller!! HORRIBLE people, will never buy from dealticker AGAIN.

  107. GREAT NEWS! HURRY AND SEND AN EMAIL to feedback@dealticker.com to request a full refund. Do not return the wrong size shoes back to E-Accessories, we should not pay for the return shipping fee.

After watching the media clip and saw someone actually got their refund by sending it to feedback@dealticker.com (Previously I only sent to support@dealticker.com.) I did the same thing yesterday to send an email to feedback@dealticker.com. Today they replied back and agreed to refund my full amount of $39 back to my account (I don't need to return the fake wrong size shoes).

Also, not sure if it is because of my email. I received another email from DealTicker about "Order Reversed".

Your Order 1XXXXX has been reversed internally at DealTicker. This order relates to 1 voucher for e-Accessories.ca.
    Voucher ID CODES: NXXXXXXXXX

If you have requested a refund for this order, the funds have now been placed back either onto the original source of payment or to your DealTicker.com account.

In cases of credits: they are instantaneous and are reflected immediately on your account under the "My Credits" section.

In cases of refunds: back to your original source of payment, please allow 5-10 business days for your Bank and Credit Card firm to reflect the funds on your statement.

For details about this order, please log in to your DealTicker.com account and click on "Order History"; once there, please click on order XXXXXX.

If you feel that this reversal was done against your wishes, please feel free to contact us directly via e-mail at support@dealticker.com or by telephone at 1-866-480-3011.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for buying with us. We sincerely appreciate your business.

    The Team at DealTicker.com

THANKS for all the people sharing their experiences.

  108. I'm glad I saw this. I was going to go another route and have a local merchant (authorized Toms retailer) at the mall write me a letter stating that the shoes were fake. I was going to send in that, along with my order invoice, and a statement of what happened to my credit card company. They said once they had all that they would credit my account.

Now I hope the email does the work for me... fingers crossed they reply quickly and I get my refund!

  109. I purchased these too and emailed customer service after wondering why I couldn't view the past deal and wondering about the status of shipping..they replied saying that they hadnt shipped yet, but no news saying anything else or even hinting at offering a refund (for whatever reason- like ANY decent company would)

That was 2 days before the article ran. :S
I contacted customer service and feedback to get a refund. Have still not received the merchandise and hopefully won't..just the refund.

It was my first experience with Dealticker and likely the last if they give me the runaround like so many people.

  110. This is my third update. I posted a few weeks back about requesting and receiving a refund. I was told it was processed on July 6, and would take 5-10 business days. After 12 business days, I emailed them today, and got this:

    Dear Lindsay,
Thank you for your email. There was a clerical error in the system and your refund was not processed on July 6, but rather the order was reversed to ensure that the merchant did not ship out the product. I placed you in the refund queue for July 25.

    All the best,

Honestly people, EMAIL/call/send smoke signals/ whatever!! these crooks until you get the answer you want!! I sent my email to 5 different emails I had from the company, and this one came from another one entirely. I am going to keep checking my Visa to make sure these funds are returned, AND I have reported them to the BBB, and should be hearing from them as well!

  111. I got an email stating my refund would be processed August 27th!! But they were quick to reply so I'll take that as a good thing. With that many refunds I guess we all have to wait?

I suppose if they do not make good with the refund I have proof in an email and can forward that to Mastercard if need be.

  114. I was told that my refund wouldn't be processed until August 16th! I wrote back and told them that given the situation it was totally unacceptable to have to wait that long for a refund back to my Visa. I received a message back within 2 days stating that the refund had been processed and a credit card return document was attached. This was on July 30th and I still have not actually seen the reversal on my Visa but I understand it can take a few days to show up - If I don't see anything by Aug 6 I will be calling Visa and then Dealticker if necessary.

You need to be tough with these people - there is no reason for them to be dragging thier feet for that long. They were quick to take our money and they should be quick t give it back!

  115. HOLY S*!T!!!!

I just received my TOMS shoes, and have 4 other pairs of TOMS and am a big supporter of the ONE FOR ONE program. All my TOMS have been purchased at ARITZIA, and when I opened the DealTicker TOMS they were IDENTICAL. The TOMS sole from ARITZIA is not sewn in, and comes out completely with glue on the bottom of the sole. The quality is exactly the same!!! I can not believe ARITZIA is selling fake TOMS??? Or could it really be that DealTicker TOMS are in fact real? I'll be going to ARITZIA after work, and will investigate whether ARITZIA is selling fake TOMS, or could it be that the DealTicker TOMS are real after all??

    IN SHOCK!

  116. I too was sent the wrong size and then sent the wrong size again and told too bad, maybe they will stretch! I wish I had seen this website sooner. I have contacted TOMS as well and will be contacting VISA as well at the BBB.

  117. I too received the wrong size and stupidly sent them back and received the wrong size again and FAKES. The email I got was basically so sorry maybe they will stretch! I contacted TOMS and the BBB and will be talking to VISA right away.

  118. I just put in for refund as the shoes hadn't arrived (2 months after the order). Dealticker agreed to the refund with no questions asked although it will another six weeks before this is processed. Here is the email I got from them...buyer beware I guess is the moral of this story....
"Your refund is scheduled to be processed by September 13th 2012.

I hope you find this helpful and we hope your future buying experiences with DealTicker will always be positive. I would like to thank you for buying with us. We sincerely appreciate your business.

The refunds are put into a queued refund system and will be processed as our accounts department turn over the transactions. We apologize for the delay in this process, currently there are an influx of refunds being processed and we hope to catch up soon. After the transaction is turned over your credit card company can take between 5-10 business days to update your financial statement.

Thank you again for your patience.
    All the best"

I think the part about the "influx of refunds" is interesting. If you don't have your shoes yet CANCEL while you can!!!

  119. Anyone had any luck with doing a "return to sender" for the shoes? I ordered mine on June 2 and haven't received them yet. I've emailed dealticker and will try the other options for a refund as well.

  120. E-accessories is the scammer here. Not Dealticker - I believe that they got duped as well. I've bought lots of deals from Dealticker with great results.
I tried to go on to E-accessories to leave a negative feedback, but of course they don't have an review/feedback page, cuz really who'd say anything positive?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Dealticker is in this up to their eyeballs: the fake Toms, the fake Ray-bans, & my new favorite, the bamboo "towels" that are smaller than a facecloth. This company seriously needs to be put out of business - this is fraud, pure & simple.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Don't believe that they will refund to you. I was told on 16 Jul and would have my refund on 8 Aug. Of course, nothing happen, they don't even reply any of my emails. Whole bunch of liars.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I was told I would receive a refund by August 4, so far nothing. Has ANYONE received a refund yet?? I'm not really worried, I know Visa will back me, reverse the funds and go after Dealticker themselves but I'd rather avoid the inconvenience of calling them and explaining if I can.

  124. I FINALLY got an email. I made a huge stink, emailed every email address I could find, AND contacted the BBB. They said the did it, no refund, contacted them and the said they'd only stopped the shoes, not done a refund, and they would. Then the correct refund came about two weeks later.

DO NOT LET THIS REST. Get your money back, and take it to all of the appropriate people until you do!!

  125. I still haven't received an email back! what email address did you all use? I haven't received the shoes. I have printed all of my records and bank statement showing that I have been charged on my credit card and have no shoes.

  127. Finally received a refund to my Visa today (was told it would be by Aug. 4). Got back the full $41. I emailed last week to ask where it was and threatened to go to Visa, guess that helped. Good luck to everyone else!

  129. I would not deal with "e acessories", maybe try and get a credit card refund for product not as represented.
Call or email e accessory first to let them know you are doing this and see what they say.

Once you have the BS excuse from e accessory call your credit card co and let them know what was said/happened.

I have had this work even on deals from 1 year ago after being Fked around from a Kahoot deal.

  130. I LOVE DEALTICKER! I honestly don't believe they intentionally sold fake merchandise. I got a complete refund and nothing else I have purchased from them has been bad.

All of my family and friends have had great experience, and maybe you guys should try again too. If not who cares, get over it.

  131. I won't use them again. I've made the same purchase and sent an email directly to e-accessories and three different contacts at Dealticker. IMO, they are both BS basement companies who thrive on ripping people off. They don't care about reputation or service.

I've contacted my CC company to dispute the counterfeit charge. We shall see what they say when the money is taken away.

  132. I emailed dealticker several emails and all they told me was that I could not get a refund as orders were already processed and if I was not satisfied with my order when I received it then I can ask for a refund. I ordered these shoes in June and still nothing. I wondering if they're just dicking me around.
UGH they told me they were already on route 2 weeks ago. I believe they're from the York Region so I dont know what's taking them so long.

  133. The same thing happened to me. I ordered a size 7 and got a size 8 two months later. I contacted dealticker and they gave lousy excuses. Has anyone tried contacting toms and letting them know that there are fakes out there?

  134. I just contacted dealticker yet again (have sent various emails with replies over the last 2 months) - I phoned this time and demanded a refund. They told me that they would not refund my order as it was being processed. They agreed that if I refused shipment, then they could process a refund. They also confirmed that the shoes had not yet shipped. Also, I inquired about the quality (i.e. fakes) and they assured me that the first batch had a problem, however the batches after that were authenticated. I will await my shipment and and refuse it upon arrival.

  135. TOMS is very aware of what Dealticker and e-accessories has been doing, and stressed to me in their email that neither company is licensed to sell TOMS. This alone is proof that these sleazy companies knew from day 1 that they were defrauding their customers by selling cheap fakes. Despicable.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I am beyond disgusted with both companies too- I'Ve been waiting since June 2 for these shoes and now e-accessories is saying that the product has been "processed for shipping" and so they cannot refund the money- an when I point out that I'd it was actually processe for shipping they could give me the tracking number then they just replied that they will not refund my money and I will be very happy with my product when it arrives (if ever). Deal ticker is telling me the same thing- I have never been so frustrated with a company and will be sure to tell every person I can that both of these companies engage in unethical and fraudulent business practice.

    ReplyDelete
  137. My sister received her TOMS from the second shipment (June order) last week and they were fake.

The box it came in was smaller than the real TOMS box, there was no "shoe pouch" included, and the sole ripped out right away. There were no typos on the sole this time though, so the shipment is probably taking longer than usual because e-accessories is making sure it's spelled correctly.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I'm glad I'm not the only one going through this but it's frustrating because I bought this in June and have yet to receive these fake Toms. When I emailed E-Accessories and Dealticker for refunds, both are saying they can't because they've processed the item already. It's the response I've been getting since July and I've yet to receive their fake shoes.
I also mentioned to them that under Consumer Protection Act, section 26, it is their job to keep their quoted delivery time and if it's not kept I can ask for a refund but both companies keep overlooking that fact.
I will try the 3 other email addresses for dealticker provided here and see what happens, otherwise I'll have to place a complaint with the BBB and then try to get my money back from my credit card company by disputing this transaction. I'm not giving up until I get my money.

  139. I got a damaged pair of Ray-bans around June. I called Dealticker and they said that I'd have to contact e-accessories which I did. They told me to send it back to them, which I did. I have been waiting for months for them to send me a brand new pair. I decided to email them to ask when they will arrive, and they simply refuse to reply. Its been over a month that I have sent them over a dozen emails with no reply. They took my money and now have the ray-bans. This is pretty much stealing, taking someone's money and not giving them the product. I just want my money back at this point, and I don't know who to contact. Can you guys please give me suggestions??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The Ray-bans are fakes as well ( read posts near the top of this page). Contact the BBB immediately. That is the only way I got my money back for the fake Toms, although I still got stuck paying for the postage both ways...it's unbelieveable to me that these scam artists are still in business....

  140. Ordered mine in June and only got then today. And i am wo diasppointed that they are fakes. I had been emailing with them for weeks and each time they said it won't be long and I would be so pleased with my shoes. well I am not! Is there any recourse?

    ReplyDelete
  141. I received my Apricot colored "TOMs" today and was very disappointed. They were clearly fakes. The inner sole was not stitched to the sole of the shoe. The animal print inside what a completely different color than the outside color of the shoe. I have emailed Dealticker and E-accesories and requested a full refund. I dont have high hopes that I will get my money back through them, however I'll likely have to contact the Better Business Bureau and file a claim. Shame on these companies for preying on innocent customers.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Thank you everyone for posting, I received a lot of good advice from everyone's posts and am happy to know I'm not the only one here. I also purchased the shoes, and am still waiting for them. I reported both, E-accessories and DealTicker to VISA. I've received a refund, but the websites have the right to dispute it, upon me receiving the shoes (if I ever do).

If I receive the shoes, and they are fake as everyone says, VISA advised me to send them back via registered mail to obtain a tracking number. If they refuse to offer a refund at that point, and I have proof that I shipped them back, VISA will hold the refund. This is my advice for anyone is a similar situation. This is a disgrace, how many knowledgable customers were fooled because we all assumed that DealTicker is a reputable company.

  144. I also was scammed by e-accessories and deal-ticker. I ordered two pairs and both are clearly fake. I have contacted Tom's and they have told me that e-accessories is not an authorized dealer. When I took that info back to e-accessories, they came back with telling me that they never claimed to be an authorized dealer and they were getting them from an authorized supplier. Non the less, the shoes are poorly made and are not real. E-accessories has started to ignore my emails and dealtickers is not taking any responsibility. DON'T BUY FROM DEAL TICKER OR E-ACCESSORIES!!

  145. Hi, I too had similar problems to the ones above. We recieved the incorrect size after months of waiting. When I contacted the company they said they would be happy to change them but i would have to pay the postage. I explained on numerous e'mails that it was their mistake and I wasn't willing to pay the postage. The were very unhelpful and rude and wouldn't budge on their "policy" that the customer absorbs the cost of the shipping. In the end I contact Dealfinder and a week later had an e'mail from the company stating that they understood why I didn't want to pay for postage, to keep the incorrect size TOMS and they would send a pair of the correct size. They came last week, but this battle had been going on since April. I didn't even consider they might be fakes as I have never owned a pair of TOMS before so didn't know what to expect

  146. SHAME on Dealticker and E-Accessories. I also ordered and waited weeks and weeks for my shoes to arrive. When they did finally arrive they were not the size ordered, were mismatched and were OBVIOUS FAKES. It is an illegal offense in Canada to sell replica goods !!!! SHAME ON YOU BOTH ! I contacted e-accessories and was told to ship them back. Cost me another $10 and when I received the new shoes weeks and weeks later they again did not fit me and were just plain crap. I WILL NEVER EVER trust DEALTICKER again and have deleted my account. This company must have plenty of egg of their face after dealing with this fiasco and for not doing their homework. You will not rip me off again - EVER. You have lost me as a customer forever !!!!!!! (as I sit here and look at the fake Toms that are sitting on my desk that nobody wants - not even for free. SHAME ON YOU ALL !!!
