Baby Box Canada Free Box
Have you heard of the Baby Box? The Finnish government provides new parents with a box filled with essentials to care for their new baby for free! This program is in place to ensure that the baby has a healthy start, while trying to take some of the overwhelming workload of new parents off their shoulders.

Canadians have urged the program to come here for a long time, well now they are coming to Canada! Currently Baby Boxes are offered to Saskatoon residents at a cost, but in January the Alberta government announced plans to distribute 1500 free baby boxes as a Welcome to Parenthood pilot project.

New parents can now register to receive a Free Baby Box! Boxes will contain items such as diapers, bibs, bath towels, onesies, toys, shampoo etc. The boxes will also include guides for topics sch as breastfeed, car safety and swaddling.

Currently, this program is only shipping to new expecting parents in Ontario as a test of this pilot project, but their aim is to expand to all of Canada on a province by province basis.

If you don't live in Ontario, you should still register to show your interest in this program. Boxes are expected to begin shipping in April with 2-3 months to delivery due date.
